These recordings of unknown works by
Erwin Schulhoff (1894 - 1942) present,
to a certain extent, a whirlwind tour of
the different styles of the Twenties: late
romanticism, expressionism, new objecti-
vity, neo-baroque. The performers deal
with the music unfussily, the sound is
graded excellently and the booklet is
informative.
